Patrick’s distinguished career spans 30 years and is a combination of law firm and corporate legal experience.  He specializes in strategies for acquiring, managing, licensing and litigating Intellectual Property. Notably, from 2003 to 2014, Patrick was the Chief Intellectual Property counsel at The Clorox Company. From 2011 to 2015, Patrick also served as the Vice President, Associate General Counsel for international legal matters at Clorox.

Prior to Clorox, Patrick was the VP of IP at Therasense, Inc., a medical device diabetes care start-up that went public in 2003 and was subsequently acquired by Abbott Diabetes Care. Prior to these in-house experiences, Patrick practiced as a partner at law firms in San Francisco, including Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro, and Limbach and Limbach.
